2010 Zion Bowl Celebrates Jax's Birthday and the Springtime Beauty of Zion National Park!
(Zion National Park, Utah)
The Zion Football League is happy to announce that Zion Bowl XXVI will be held on Sunday, May 2nd, at Mike's Oak Creek cabin inside majestic Zion National Park. Pregame fun and pageantry will kick-off at 10 am. The Zion Bowl will feature a Cinco de Mayo theme, with Mike providing a feast of his famous green chili and spanish rice. Helen's legendary stuffed jalapenos will kick off the buffet and ZFL fans are asked to bring their usual excellent treats.
The Zion Bowl is the Zion Football League's oldest Southern Utah based tournament. The first Zion Bowl was held on December 29, 1984 in the basement of what is now the Zion Pizza & Noodle in downtown Springdale (the old LDS chapel). Sue Large's Angels crushed Randy Mount's Vikings 38-14 in the championship tilt. Since then the Zion Bowl has evolved into a southern Utah classic, highlighting great ZFL teams and fans, exciting armchair football, good food, and memorable times.
