Stallions Seek Molson Cup ThreePeat at Annual Zion Park CFL Summer Festivus!

(Zion National Park, Utah)_Since 2008 Mike's CFL Stallions have been the flagship franchise of the Zion Football League's Canadian brand of armchair football. Highlighting their incredible two year run, the Stallions captured back to back Molson Cup tournament championship crowns in 2009-10. The big, bad, and blue Stallions have also won 42 CFL games while losing only 27 (18 of them in 2008) for an winning percentage of over sixty percent. The super Stallions did suffer a 45-15 gelding in 2009's Birthday Bowl XXXII at the hands of Coach Doug Spendlove's Canadian Football League All Stars. That stunning upset has since motivated the CFL's best armchair football team as the Stallions rolled to an impressive 20-6 win-loss record since, including winning last year's Molson Cup Crown.

The Stallions welcome all of the ZFL's Canadian powerhouses, armchair football junkies, and wannabes to attend the ninth annual Molson Cup to be held on Saturday June 5th, at Mike's cabin inside Zion National Park. Mike will provide a spaghetti festivis that will showcase his meatballs of all sizes. Molson Cup pre-game activities will kick off at 11:00 am.

CFL Stallions Nuke Canadian Pimp Wagon 60-21 in Scenic East Virgin!

(Virgin, Utah)_The sleepy hamlet of East Virgin played host to an exciting ZFL Canadian Football League armchair football exhibition game on May 16th that featured two current Canadian Champions.
Mike's two-timin' Molson Cup Champion Stallions faced off against Preston's Zion Cup Champs before a big crowd at Susie and Shawn's scenic home in East Virgin. The super Stallions rushed for four touchdowns to set up their hot passing game and a big 29-7 first half lead. Preston rolled some amazing dice to scored on a 95 yard TD kick-off return to pull within 29-21 to start the second half. Still the Canadian Pimp Wagon was unable to keep up with the high scoring Stallions, who rolled some amazing dice themselves, blitzing Preston's Canadian defense for 31 straight points to roll to a 60-21 win.
With the impressive rout, the Stallions improved to a record of 8 wins and 3 losses in 2010, heading into the Molson Cup, to be held on June 5th in Zion National Park.

Shawn's Assassins Pump Posse 47-33 in Zion Bowl XXVI Third Place Game!

(Zion National Park, Utah)Although Zion National Park's favorite ZFL armchair football team, Mike's Posse, jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead, Shawn's big and bad Assassins held steady, and rallied behind some hot and fierce dice rolling to crush the struggling Posse 47-33 in the third place game of Zion Bowl XXVI. Held on May 15th at Posse Pavilion in Zion National Park, the Zion Bowl Third Place Game featured lots of offense and excellent dice rolling, most of it by the Assassins, who scored six touchdowns in the contest. The tough Assassin defense broke open a close game in the middle of the second quarter when they rudely sacked Posse QB Mike "Anthony Calvillo" Large for a Safety which the opportunistic, and deadly, Assassin offense quickly turned into a 53 yard touchdown strike and stunning 16-14 halftime lead. The Assassins kept on rolling, ripping off a 31-3 second half run that gave them a huge 47-17 lead in the middle of the fourth quarter. The Posse then launched two desperation fourth quarter TD passes (complete with ensuing 2-point conversions) to make the final score a seemingly close 47-33 Assassin ZFL Tournament Game victory.
The win elevates Shawn's Assassins (2-2) into eight place in the current 2010 Zion Football League standings, while Mike's slumping Posse (3-5) slides headfirst into ninth place.
