Shawn's Assassins Ousts Jim's Gold Miners 30-27 in 28th Zion Bowl and Captures Eighth ZFL Championship!

(Hurricane, Utah)_Coach Shawn Spendlove renewed his assault on the ZFL record book as his Assassins swept through and captured Zion Bowl XXVIII at Brenda's beautiful home on April 22nd. The Assassins rallied to come from behind in the title tilt to edge arch-rival Jim's Gold Miners 30-27 and give Shawn his eighth Zion Football League championship. The Gold Miners had a successful tourney as well, winning three games before slipping in the final. That effort raised the Gold Miners into undisputed fourth place in the 2012 ZFL standings.

Brenda was a gracious hostess, opening her lovely home to the ZFL masses. Her Navajo Tacos were the toast of the tourney and highlighted a grand buffet.

Brenda's Bratz Ready to Host 28th Zion Bowl in Hurricane!

(Hurricane, Utah)_The Zion Football League is happy to announce that Zion Bowl XXVIII will be held on Sunday April 22nd at Brenda's spacious and
beautiful home in Hurricane. Brenda will make her famous Navajo Tacos to
kick-off the Zion Football League's oldest southern Utah tournament. Fans are
asked to bring salads, deserts, and other tasty treats to celebrate 28 years of
ZFL armchair football in scenic Southern Utah. Zion Bowl activities will kick off at 10 am.

The first Zion Bowl tournament was held in 1984 in what is now the basement of Springdale's Zion Pizza and Noodle. Throughout the years the Zion Bowl tournament has showcased the best ZFL players in armchair football history.

Posse Spanks Bratz 37-14, Toronto Tweakers Stun Stallions 35-32 at Brenda's Hurricane Home!

(Hurricane, Utah)_Exciting Zion Football League armchair football was on display on March 25th as Brenda hosted a ZFL/CFL doubleheader at her beautiful home in scenic Hurricane.

In the opening game Mike's Posse scrambled for three touchdown passes in a 37-14 romp over Brenda's Bratz. The Posse rolled out to a 17-0 first half lead before throwing a 77 yard touchdown strike and storming out to a 27-7 lead in the third quarter. Brenda's Bratz committed six turnovers in the loss.

Tony's Toronto Tweakers played some cool armchair Canadian football in the nightcap as they slipped past Mike's Stallions 35-32. The Tweaks tossed three touchdown passes as their defense held the big and blue Stallion offense scoreless inside the ten yard line on four separate occasions.
