Assassins Melt Heat 41-30 to Win Southern Utah Classic VI in Cool Kolob Country!

(Kolob Reservoir, Utah)_Continuing to rise up the list of best all-time ZFL tourney teams, Shawn's Assassins slashed their way through a veteran ZFL field. The Assies captured Southern Utah Classic VI with a 41-30 blitz over Tim's Hurricane Heat in the championship game. That win climaxed an exciting day of armchair football in the Kolob Reservoir scenic lakeshore campground and lifted coach Shawn up to undisputed sixth place in the all-time ZFL tournaments standings with his ninth Zion Football League Crown.

Doug, Beau, Candi, Laurie and Mark provided an excellent Dutch oven dinner and omelet breakfast for the hungry ZFL masses. Scenic tours, fun fishing, live music, and hanging out with good friends created an excellent ZFL outdoor experience.

Southern Utah Classic Notes
In the SUC championship game, the Assassins bolted to a 35-0 first quarter lead over Tim's Heat..The Heat then outscored the Assies 30-6 the rest of the way before falling 41-30…In semi-final action Mike's Posse staggered out to a 5-0 halftime lead before wilting to the Heat 20-27…Tony's Stoners held the mighty Assassins to a 7-7 tie at halftime of their semi-final contest before relapsing in a 10-34 loss…The quarter-finals were kicked off in grand style as Preston's Blue Devils threw a 70 yard TD strike on the first play... That was followed by the Heat running back the ensuing kick for a 80 TD Kick Return enroute to a 38-21 win…Mike's Stallions spanked Tony's Toronto Tweakers 28-10 in a CFL exhibition game held on Saturday…

Kolob Rez Welcomes Southern Utah Classic!

(Kolob Reservoir, Utah)_The Zion Football League is proud to announce that the sixth annual Southern Utah Classic (SUC) will take place on Sunday, August 12th at scenic and cool Kolob Reservoir. The annual SUC camp-out has turned into a fan favorite as ZFL teams, coaches, fans, chefs, fishermen and outdoor enthusiasts gather annually to celebrate armchair football in the great outdoors.
Doug and Beau will once again set the stage for a fun-filled ZFL weekend that will begin on Friday night August 10th. A dutch oven roast and potatoes dinner will be provided on Saturday afternoon as well as brilliant breakfast omelets on Sunday morning (gameday) by our gracious hosts. ZFL fans are asked to bring side dishes, salads, fruit, rolls and other exciting party treats.

Please remember to bring all your other meals and, as Junior Ranger Beau would say, don't forget to bring lots of water and cold ice-filled coolers. Free tents are available for anyone needing a place to sleep, but please bring your own sleeping bag if possible, otherwise you may end up sharing a sleeping bag with Doug or Beau.

Shadowdome Stadium Up for Sale at a Spooky Price!

(Zion National Park, Utah)_The Zion Football League is happy to

announce that the super sleek Shadowdome is up for sale. The sight of many recent ZFL tourney games, the Shadowdome is a high quality ZFL regulation field that was constructed in 2009 by the Spendlove Erection Company of Hurricane, Utah.

With spirited end zones and a supernatural structure, this field would be a great addition to any Zion Football League household. The asking price is one hundred dollars, but the ZFL is willing to see what materializes. Payment plans are available and any and all interesting and otherworldly offers will be considered.

The Shadowdome will be on display at the Southern Utah Classic VI tournament which will held at Kolob Reservoir on Sunday August 12th.
