ZFL Mascot and Friend Greyson Passes Away on September 1st

(Hurricane, Utah)_ZFL teams and fans who ventured into Zion National Park for ZFL action were often greeted warmly by Greyson, Mike Large's pet cat of 10 years, who was usually the only cat (of Mike's three) that would come out and bravely welcome visitors. As opposing teams played against Mike's Posse and Stallions, "Greyfang" would try to distract them by purring and rubbing against their dice throwing hands. Greyson was diagnosed with feline infectious periodontitis in mid-August and was laid to rest on September 1st. He suffered no pain in the last weeks of his life and will be warmly remembered by ZFL fans in Zion National Park for his sweet and loving demeanor.
Greyson was named after the Canadian Football League's championship game, the Grey Cup. He is survived by his brother Stamps and sister Winnie, Mike's two other cats.
