Spring Blossom Bowl I is a Blooming Success as Coach Mike Claims His 31st ZFL Crown!

(Hurricane, Utah) Mike's Posse and Preston's Blue Devils played a championship game for the ages to top off a most excellent ZFL tournament held at the posh home of Tim, Alyssa, Shawn and Katie on March 28th. The Blue Devils led by the score of 21-17 throughout the second half before the Posse put together a thirteen play march that cumulated with a exciting 5 yard double reverse touchdown and a 24-21 lead. After an exchange of possessions, the Posse defense hung on as the Blue Devils went down swinging. The win is Coach Mike's 31st Zion Football League Crown, second best in league history. A great time was had by all as great food, hot babes, flowing whisky, and scoring dice rolls, made the first ever Spring Blossom Bowl I is a blooming success.

ZFL Notes_The Posse have won four out of the last seven ZFL tourneys...Mynx Coach Helen Fitzgerald organized, collected, and delivered a cash gift for Tim, Alyssa, and Carter during pregame celebrations...Jim's Gold Miners did not score in the second half of their to tourney games (a 28-10 win over Steve's Nomads, and a 30-13 loss to Nathan's Lost Boyz)...In the opening round, Preston's Blue Devils rushed for four touchdowns in a 41-14 romp over the Mynx...Also in the first round, the Lost Boyz blasted out to a 24-6 halftime lead over Justin's Kaibab Mountain Cows, then survived a 17-0 Kaibab Mountain Cow third quarter blitz to win 38-23...Shawndoggle's only touchdown came on a 16 yard fake field goal pass in a 33-7 opening round loss to Tony's Stoners...The Blue Devils scored a touchdown and a safety in the last three plays of the game to oust the Stoners 23-20 in the quarter-finals...Shawn's Assassins are twelve wins and five losses in the last six ZFL tournaments, winning the Southern Utah Championship and making three straight final four appearances... 2009 ZFL tournaments debuts were made by Giovanni's Eagles, Nathan's Lost Boyz, Steve's Nomads, and Katie's Gutter Sluts...
