Preston's Blue Devils Bedazzlin' Zion Football League in 2010!

(Dixie Downs, Utah) Demonstrating a dynamic dice roll and wizardly coaching skills, Preston led his Blue Devils to the 17th Southern Utah Championship held at Helen's beautiful Dixie Downs home on Sunday, February 28th. The Blue Devils came out on top of a fifteen team tournament field that featured lots of ZFL veterans and a few younger surprises as well. The Blue Devils won a defensive slugfest 26-14 over Nathan's Lost Boyz in the opening round, before surviving 38-35 against the home-standing Mynx. Rolling into the semi-finals, Preston's Blue Devils met John's always powerful Nighthawks who they shot down by the score of 45-27. Jim's mighty Gold Miners were the Blue Devils opponent in the championship game, but even Jim's big play offense couldn't keep up with the high scoring Blue Devils who claimed a 34-21 championship victory. Helen was once again a most gracious hostess who offered up a great buffet that was highlighted by her famous chili and lots of that great apple pie.
