Jim's Gold Miners Edge Barb's Ghostriders 28-19, Win East Virgin Invitational!

(Virgin, Utah)_Entering the East Virgin Invitational on a three game ZFL tourney losing streak, Jim Cantrell's Gold Miners finished off a great tournament run with a hard fought 28-19 come from behind victory over Barb's Ghostriders in the championship game.The Gold Miners blocked a Ghostrider punt in the middle of the fourth quarter and returned it for a touchdown to grab 21-17 lead. The Ghostriders then drove 50 yards before turning the ball over on downs deep in Gold Miner country. Following a Ghostrider Safety, Jim threw a high rolling 57 yard long pass touchdown on the last play for the final 28-19 victory. The East Virgin Invitational tournament was a huge success with thirteen ZFL teams participating. Featured were good food, great friends, and exciting ZFL armchair football at it's best.
